OU JAC tells V-C to postpone exams again
Interestingly, the tottering Joint Action Committee (JAC) has also given a Jan. 28 deadline for the Centre to announce its decision on Telangana. The OU semester examinations are scheduled to start on January 19.
Over 200 OU students held a dharna before the V-C's office at 9 pm on Sunday and demanded that exams be postponed as they are busy preparing for a padyatra, beginning Monday, and hence didn't get time to study.
Sources from OU said that this was nothing but another attempt to pressure the Centre to take another hasty decision.
The OU JAC's demand has put the university authorities in a bind as more postponements will lead to more hardships for students at the university.

Telangana movement appears to be active in backend. The top leaders are silent before the media. There is a demand from telangana JAC to postpone exams and demand for paper correction in telangana for telangana students ("No jumbling" demand). I do not think a good teacher will show biased approach towards a merit student in paper correction either telangana or another region. I wonder one day they damand to promote students to next classes for those who just attempt the exams. The reason they will say is that students are busy in protests and movements.
Now where is the standard of quality in OU education? May be this year only 10% students in OU are serious about their studies and remaining 90% are influenced by the politicians. If students focus on studies, they would have gained good knowledge. which they are losing....
Bottom line is that one day students will understand and realize that their time and abilities are well used by politicians.
